In Segovia, a Jewish woman committed a crime and was arrested. She was taken to a high cliff and was about to be thrown over.

A woman, standing outside the walls of a city, is surrounded by a group of men. One of them seizes her by the wrist. An official on horseback supervises her arrest.
Unha muller, que permanece fóra dos muros da cidade, é rodeada por un grupo de homes. Un deles agárraa polo pulso. Un oficial montado supervisa o arresto.

She called on the Virgin, promising to become a Christian if Mary would preserve her.

How they took her to throw her off a high precipice that was there.

The men drag the woman out of the city of Segovia and past the aquaduct.
Os homes empurran á muller fóra da cidade de Segovia, diante do acueduto.

The Jews pushed her over the cliff, but the Virgin came to her aid. The woman was not dashed on the rocks, but fell, unharmed, at the foot of a fig tree.

How they threw her down and she was not hurt because she called on Holy Mary.

Como a esfalfaron e non sse fez mal por que chamou Santa Maria.

The men cast the woman off a cliff.
Os homes precipitaron á muller por un acantilado.

She jumped up and began to praise the Virgin.

How she got up unharmed, loudly praising Holy Mary for it.

The Virgin emerges from a cloud and signals to the woman who stands with her hands clasped. One of the men on the cliff points down at the unharmed woman.
A Virxe emerxe desde unha nube e fai sinais á muller, que está coa súas mans xuntas en sinal de pregaria. Un dos homes sobre o acantilado apunta cara á muller ilesa.

Then she went to the church and saw a great crowd of people whom she told her story.

How she entered the church of Holy Mary and told the miracle to the people.

The woman stands in front of an altar and addresses a group of people.

She was baptised straightaway.
