The event is supposed to have occurred about the year 538 (see Acta Sanctorum, 4 Feb.). Originally written in Greek (in the 6th cent.) and ascribed to Eutychianus, one of the Household of Theophilus; and translated (in the 9th cent.) by Paul the Deacon of Naples (II, 595). |
