TU 4793: Thief, head rolling downhill. “A thief, found asleep by his enemies, is beheaded. His head rolls downhill, calling on the Virgin to aid him to confess. When summoned, the priest insists that the head be brought back to the body. The thief explains that in life he has done honor to the Virgin.”
