How, on account of his dissolute habits, he was buried outside the cemetery; how the Virgin appeared to one of his fellow-clerks and complained of the treatment of ‘her Chancellor’; and how, when they opened his grave to remove his body to a more worthy place, a beautiful flower was found in his mouth (II, 605). |
