Snow 2007: "Given the position of Seville in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, the author notes how little poetic praise there was for the city, a 'sin' of which Alfonso — whose attachment to Seville is well known — is also guilty. However, Alfonso does present, in ‘Tanto sei de vos, ricomen’ (Lapa 32), a vivid portait of a contemporary from that city." |
