Snow 2007: "A ‘lectura actualizada’ of Alfonso's ‘Non me posso pagar tanto’. Following a rehash of biographical information, there is a discussion of both text and context. Alfonso emerges as outraged and depressed, choosing to escape into a deeply personal mode of expression. This view is in accord with De Lollis [1901] but conflict with Michaëlis de Vasconcellos [1904]. What is lacking here is more poetic analysis." |
