Notes from Snow 1977, nos. 121 and 121 bis, rev. 2007: "Provides important data for the study of the sources and the historical background for the twelfth-century Saint Ero and the building in Armenteira which bears his name. The tale of the enchanted monk for whom 300 years pass in a twinkling of an eye (CSM 103) is preserved in a baroque relief sculpture and in other art works surviving here. The written account, too, is preserved in many collections with, however, the locale unspecified: some of these are cited. This material reappears in the author's doctoral diss. [1936]." |
