Notes from Snow 1977, no. 104: "Following the work of Arco (1915) on the location of Salas in the poems of the CSM, G. further demonstrates how faulty was Valmar's location of this town in the region of Lérida, for there it was always accentuated Salás. Concludes that the misconception derives from CSM 168 in which the female protagonist is from Lérida but makes her pilgrimage to Salas in Huesca. It is unlikely that two santuarios are alluded to, and with this judgment of G.'s it is easy to concur." |
