Snow 2007: "The CSM here is 139. Schindler gets it through Collet and Villalba [1911] filtered through Pujol [1912]. He scores it for two each of sopranos, altos, tenors and bassos, a capella. A harp or organ prelude is made optional, as is a piano part for rehearsal only (this latter is included in the publication). Two disturbing features of the commentary are Alfonso's being called King of Aragon and the pronunciation guide for the Old Galician (faz to be pronounced as 'fath' and so on)." |
