Snow 1977, no. 222: "The full CB published for the first time, as only a portion was edited by Molteni (1880). The ed. is not truly critical, but it lists variants, contains notes and, very important, has facsimiles of the MS. The onomastic list and the glossary in vol. VIII are very good. Alfonso's CBN poems carry the numbers 398-441, 1424, and 1528. Many of the readings given are tentative. More reliable are the texts as given by Rodrigues Lapa (1965, 2nd ed. 1970)." |
