This article is occasioned by the publication of Anglés's vols (1958) on the music of the CSM, but features a short history of the "Sección de Música" of the Diputación de Barcelona and mention of its other publications. There is an appreciation of Anglés's role in the recovery and actualization of much early music of Spain and, in particular, the music of the CSM. A summary of the contents of A.'s recent volumes is offered, without discussion." |
