Snow 1977, no. 290: "A sequel to two articles on the music of the CSM (1945, 1948). The author refers to his own system of notation in which fourteen of the CSM were performed in Oporto in 1952. By now he has had ample time to study and assess Anglés's contributions to the field. He declares them satisfactory but feels they are still not fully definitive. Since he does not state why they fall short, it will take more than this brief assessment to bring down the considerable edifice of musicological scholarship so carefully and diligently constructed by Anglés over many years." |
