Snow 1977: "D. offers a classification scheme for the almost 360 miracle narrations of the CSM, with fifteen divisions (representing roles of the Virgin) such as "Compassion", "Benevolence", "Teacher", "Adviser", and "Provider". Problems arise in this scheme since so many of the roles overlap significantly. Perhaps it is this that leads D. to conclude - not too surprisingly - that Mary in thirteenth-century Iberia was seen as a very human and three dimensional figure.
