Snow 1977: "Only the first of the two notes treats of Alfonso (pp. 177-80). In it, W. hints that Alfonso, in CV 64, may have indicated a knowledge of the text of the Razón de amor. This supposition hinges on the naming, in the cantiga, of two of the three European centres of courtly learning mentioned in the Razón. This seems rather slim support for the deductions that follow, although the ideas are original and provocative." |
