Commentary:
Snow 2007rn"Takes up a series of fundamental narrative devices found in the CSM miniatures. Exemplified extensively are the six panels of Cantiga 42. The presentation is accompanied by illustrations and the English prose translation of K. Kulp-Hill. Although K.'s information on sources was earlier covered by G. Menéndez Pidal [1962],and other theories on the pictorial art of the CSM (Aita, Domínguez Rodríguez) are not taken up here, the descriptive touches that K.'s wide experience of the CSM enable him to provide make for pleasant reading."
