Notes from Snow 1977, no. 57: "A compendious 426 page, fifteen part study of great value for its acute historical, lexicographical, and comparative notes on the cancioneiros which are true modern glosses on the texts and, in particular, on the satirical poems. All sections but the last contain notes relevant to Alfonso, his poems, poems in which he appears, or poets with whom he had frequent contact. There is no index. The following pages are the most important for Alfonsine items: 1896, pp. 208-9 (for CB 461/ 353); 1901, pp. 278-96 (for CV 63, 69, 74, 77, and 79), pp. 533 ff., esp. 547 (for CV 78), pp. 669-70 (CV 64); 1902, p. 227 (CSM 223), pp. 165-72 (CSM 345); and 1904, pp. 421-4, 429-31 (CSM 274 and CB 358, respectively).
