Commentary: Snow 1977, no. 7: "This work was issued under the name of a colleague of B.'s, P. Esteban Terreros y Pandó, but for the modern attribution to Burriel, see Pedro Sainz y Rodríguez, El P. Burriel, paleógrafo (Madrid, 1926). These are the first words describing the appearance of the CSM manuscripts, and how the materials were arranged (for the Toledo MS, in this instance). Plate VIII reproduces the beginning of Prol. B and also a cobla substituted for another in the margin of cantiga 77 (Mettmann 132)."
