Snow 1977, no. 31 bis: "In the section headed "Folletín de La Reforma", of both dates, is a review of the third in a series of sacred music presentations at the Teatro Real (which took place on Friday, March 2). High praise is given to the fourth song in the program's third section, "Cantiga XIV del Rey D. Alfonso el Sabio, [cantada] por la señorita Velasco, acompañándola el cuerpo de coros de este coliseo, y el de niños alumnos del Conservatorio, parafraseada por el maestro Eslaba" (see Eslava [1865])." |
