Snow 1977, no. 130: "A serviceable if somewhat adulatory presentation of Ribera's 1922 vol. on the music of the CSM. This is but the first of a projected series of articles which rehash the entire book and it will have little value except, perhaps, to a scholar interested in the reactions to Ribera's interesting theories. No further instalments were published (at least in this journal). A. mistakenly lists Eslava's musical transcription as of CSM 15: it is actually number 14 (see Eslava [1865] and Rioja [1866])." |
