The commentary is derivative (from Ribera [1922]), naive and uncritical. The transcription (for piano and voice) also follows Ribera. Four cantigas are reproduced in vol. I: CSM 118 (with the Galician text restored); 124 (with a faulty Castilian trans. by E. M. B., and two others without texts of any kind. In vol. II, there are a further eight, from the same source, all for piano." |
