Setting: unspecified Protagonist(s): a generous woman

There was a woman who served God and the saints and performed many charitable acts.

If the poor asked her for alms in Mary’s name, she always gave them something.

One day a crowd of unfortunate beggars came to her house and she gave them a large bin of meal and they asked the Virgin to bless her.

A little later, another group of poor people arrived. She told her daughter to fetch them some meal, but the girl told her that the bin was empty.

She sent her daughter to check, and the girl found it filled to the brim.

She gave the poor all that they required.
