Setting: Jerez and Santa Maria do Porto Protagonist(s): a little boy from Jerez

A man, named Johane, and his wife Sancha, lived in the parish of San Marcos in Jerez.

They had a little boy whom they loved dearly.

The boy became ill with a fever and his worried parents took him to Santa Maria do Porto.

At the church, the boy died in his mother’s arms.

The woman prayed to the Virgin to restore him. Then she fainted.

Jesus Christ, who resurrected Lazarus on the fourth day, also revived the boy. Everyone who saw the miracle began to weep and praise the Virgin.
