Author: Martínez Alfonso, Manuel
Title: Alfonso X y las Cantigas a Santa Maria
Date: 1962
Publication details: El Puerto de Santa María en la literatura española: Ensayo de una geografía literaria (Puerto de Santa María: Medusa, 1962), 63-73.rnrn
Snow ID:
Commentary: Snow 1977, no. 291: "This minor study mentions the 24 CSM whose locale is Puerto de Santa María (328, 356-9, 364, 366-8, 371-2, 375-9, 381-2, 385, 389, 391-3, and 398) and, in essence, adheres closely to the findings of Sancho de Sopranís (1935, not seen; but see below for 1964, a study in which some of the earlier ideas are repeated) and of J. Cabello (1909). The author is given to little more than paraphrase, but since both studies are hard to find, he performs a useful service, especially in discussion of cantigas 367 and 328."
