Setting: | Vauvert | Protagonist(s): | a sinful woman |
A woman of Vauvert committed a grave sin, but felt no guilt. The Virgin, therefore, would not allow her to enter the church. The woman tried to open the doors, but could not, although other people were entering unhindered. The woman wept, and scratched her cheeks in grief. She begged the Virgin to allow her to enter. After she had pleaded and confessed her sin, the doors opened and she entered. She spent the rest of her life serving the Virgin and she never left the church. |
