Setting: Castrogeriz Protagonist(s): a stonemason

A skilled stonemason was building the Virgin’s church in Castrogeriz.

One day, while he was working, he fell from the highest part of a wall.

As he fell, he called out to the Virgin, and managed to catch his fingers on a stone.

Although he was heavy, the Virgin Mary caused him to maintain his grip. He did not slip, but hung there by his fingernails, praying to her.

The stonemason stayed suspended like that for most of the day.

The Virgin supported him until the people came and took him down. They placed the stonemason before the altar and spread the news of the miracle throughout the land.
