Author: Peña, Margarita
Title: Antología de Alfonso el Sabio
Date: 1973
Publication details: Sepan Cuantos, 229, Mexico City: Ed. Porrúa, 1973.
Snow ID: 358
Commentary: Snow 1977: "Peña provides general comments (safe for a first introduction in schools), and an adequate vocabulary, but uses Valmar's 1889 ed. instead of the more recent and reliable Mettmann (1959 72). From the CSM the inclusions are Prol. B, 4, 9, 56, 64, 94, 132, 142, 144, 180, 195, 279, 386, 401, and 406. From CV there are 75, 77, 79 and from CB 362, 363, 365, 368, and 370. The usefulness of all inclusions (and especially of the secular poems) is severely restricted by lack of notes."
