Commentary: Notes from Snow 1977, no. 41: "For most of the fifty Latin prose legends by Gil de Zamora we have Fita's helpful notes. The fifty corresponding CSM accounts are cantigas 2-4, 7, 11-14, 19, 21, 23-7, 29, 32-4, 36-7, 39, 41, 45, 47, 49, 51, 53, 54, 61-3, 66-7, 73, 81, 86-7, 101, 106, 111, 125, 132, 139, 216, 254, 255, 298, 308, and 15. Gil's work is dated ca 1280, too late to be a source for Alfonso, and F. concludes that Gil de Zamora rejected Alfonso as a source for his own rather more historical compilation."
